Now in its second year, the parade of yellow flowers is born of 11,000 bulbs planted by Rocky Hazelman as part of his effort to beautify the landscape and make the 73-acre farm more environmentally friendly, sustainable and safe for generations to come.
Another 10,000 daffodil bulbs are planted behind the farm.
Hazelman’s land clearing initiative removed dense weeds, dead tree branches, barberry bushes, other invasive groundcovers and debris. The soil was also revitalized partly capped by woodchips.
The daffodils enhance the drive on Macopin Road.
